Randon thoughts
With 2 PP presentations coming up and another trip to Sask it just seemed like it made sense to have something more portable. So now I'm sitting in the living room blogging while the kids watch Land Before Time (Cindy's Favorite!) again.
Today is Ashlin's birthday. My baby girl is 4 years old today. I woke up this morning thinking that I deserve to sleep in after I had to change a sopping wet toddler and bed in the middle of the night. Then I remembered: We didn't put streamers and balloons around Ashlin's bed. We did that last year and it became an expectation/tradition. She would have been crushed if she had woken up and not found her bed decorated. So I hauled myself out of bed and got them up about 1 minute before she woke.
Father in Law is alive, the infection is decreasing, he no longer has a breathing tube and he seems to be more aware of what is going on. I went to see him for the first time since his surgery and while I was fine while there I was fighting back tears all the way out of the hospital. He seems so weak and vulnerable. There's a huge awareness that even though it looks like he's going to come through this, we won't have him forever, he's 76 now.
