McD's fights back
McDonald's seems to be responding to the bad press it got by Supersize Me and Fast Food Nation (the book more than the movie. Avoid the movie. Trust me.) It's new website and ad campaign tries to convince us that McDonald's takes care of it's employees. Flexible hours! Scholarships! Discounts!
Maybe no one will actually notice that it doesn't say living wages and benefits.

Don't forget to yell, "Who's lovin' it?" next time you stop by at McD's... watch what happens... it's hilarious :)
But seriously... I worked at McD's once upon a time. For $20,000 a year you can be a mananger... but be prepared to put in over 60 hours a week. You'll be on salary, so you won't get overtime. And if you get an hourly wage your lucky if it's $9/hr for a supervisory role. Boo hiss.
The experience is good if you want a minimum wage job. But the food is terrible.
I still like their fries though. Even if it's cooked in lots of greasy vegetable oil.
$20,000 for 60 hours a week is $6.41 an hour. Less than minimum wage. Wow.
(I don't have the guts to yell in a public place. What does happen?)
