Terminator comb
I wasn't able to find the LiceMeister but PharmaPlus on McIvor and Henderson was selling the Terminator comb. As far as I could tell from the websites, they're virtually the same thing except for some spiral cuts around the teeth of the Terminator. So I bought one and tried it out on Taryn's hair.
That thing got out dozens of nits! No having to pull them out with my fingernails. I am so pleased I'm going to propose to my daughter's nursery school that we sell these as a fundraiser. A great use for it is checking for lice and nits (when you get the lice-note from school) so it's something that's good to have on hand even if you aren't dealing with lice at that moment.

Even tho kids coats are hung seperately, many schools have them dump their backpacks all in one bin.
THIS is how lice are spreading (that, and parents who don't know about the amazing lice comb!)heheh
It's also absolute key to wash your daughter's pillow, blankets and other bedding, as well as any hats she wears. When we had our child's infestation, we even went so far as to vacuum the mattress after removing the bedding and putting any stuffed toys he slept with in the dryer on high for 20 minutes (the heat kills). This ensures there are no more eggs or nits that he'll go back to bed with.
We did the very thorough bedding and house cleaning. Fact is, if you can't see the nits, you can't pull them off. If you can't pull them off, they hatch and resume the cycle.
I saw one website that said to do the cleaning and vacuuming but don't sweat too hard over it - save your energy for nit removal because that's what is going to make the difference. I tend to think we're right. We went gangbusters on cleaning when it first happened, and again when it reoccurred, and kept getting it back. We couldn't find the nits in her hair, even though we looked for them
These combs are amazing. I found one louse in my own hair with it. No obvious eggs - I think I caught it in time.
