Making sense of politics

I've had an idea stirring around in my head and I'm throwing it out there to see who might be interested. I was thinking about the election coming up and finding ways to make sense of the issues. I'm envisioning a time when a bunch of people get together, along with reps from the political parties, for a discussion night - KEY WORD: DISCUSSION, not debate, not speeches. People could talk about the issues that concern them and the party reps could talk about the outcomes they desire, the policies they are proposing and how they perceive their policies leading to those outcomes.

I'd like to see a working group of 4-5 interested people to bring it about. Nate and I have emailed about it and he's intrigued, so WCV as a place would work.

So, anyone interested? You don't have to know anything about politics, just be a person who wants to help arrange a place which will help us all understand better.
